One of the greatest athletes to attend the University of Kansas, Sayers earned consensus All-America honors as a junior and senior. Sayers was born in Wichita, Kansas, and played high school football at Omaha Central in Nebraska. He was named to the NFL’s 100 th season team in 2019. Sanders was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2003 and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2004.
